Spit'n Love from A - Z

Written by:
DJ Escho

I have to say that returning home from my journey down south is well worth it, especially last night. The Captain aka Jimmy C and I and all had some crazy fun and I met some cool peepz. You know they say that the world is your oyster but I didn't think that it would be anything like this. G-d has given me an extra blessing by taking me to Mcfaddens in Bayonne, NJ. Talk about a sound emporium that this show brought to me just by showing up. It was a night of talent sharing called Organyzed Micz hosted by IN HOUSE UNIT & none other than EisMe DaHost PatienoMics aka Ely M. Cartagena along with mi sangre DJ KO spinnin it on the 1 & 2's for all the people that came out to share there time, treasure and talent. I just wana give a big shout out to DJ KO because we been through it in life together since dyper dayz ;.)

My experience was profound. During the beginning of the show, the people were packing it in with eager anticipation. I saw alot of good ol folks from the past and reminiscing and sparking up nostalgia with my friends and neighbors from back in the day. DJ KO was grovin and Geedeep aka Geedah Burgess, gave it a nice flame to set off the crowd at Mcfaddens on 20th Street between Broadway and Ave E in Bayonne. Geedeep spoken word is fab and his piece called "Natural Me" let me know that this brotha's mind is no fool's playground. What an intelligent and warm hearted individual. His love is definitely not from earth and I am blessed to make myself known to this man. G-d bless Geedeep...

I had a great pleasure of seeing a good friend from the past, (((((SPADE MAN))))) who most definitely brought it to the mic last night with his hit single "More Than Rap", NO QUESTION! You see yall, DJ Escho was the lead singer of Imbrued America back in the day and Spade Man was our first producer; so to speak but it was all good and Spade Man is still doin his thang. Big up to Spade Man and you can catch him on facebook along with all the artists.

Wallace aka Professa Blunt, mah dude from way back bangn on 19th street brought his comedic talent to Organyzed Micz, had us all rollin talkin about losing your job to mexicans because US MEXICANS CAN! Still, Wallace is funny as funny gets and he will have yo azz in a state of hysteria. Wallace will most likely come back to Organyzed Micz which will be held every Thursday night under IN HOUSE UNIT & Ely Cartagena and DJ KO spinnin crazy nasty beatz fo yo enjoyment.

On the come up rap group BLOCK BANG under Stepping Stone Records gave a rock hard performance with their hit "MARIA" Block Bang consists of a three man group making their way in Buddaville Bayonne:
Cally Peterson
Dappa Don
Morris Johnson
All interest in Block Bang music, please visit http://www.myspace.com/blockbang

I was also pleased to hear some amazing freestyle from up an coming artist VIZION. I have not heard freestyle like that in a long time and I must say that mahnik was doin it on the mic like he didn't even give a shyt. Like, what the fudge man, his best to my ears was just him fuq'n witcha. I could imagine this kid studying eschatology or celluloid engineering and rappin to that, man if I had my own record company I would sign him without question and that goes for Spade Man but Spade is his own universe ;.)

Well folks, this is not all but for now please be a dear to your self and love everyone around you and once in a while give a look up in the sky and give G-d the praise y'all. What ever religion or non believer you iz, love everyone with unmerited favor always and the gift of love will most certainly be returned to you.

IN HOUSE UNIT, Ely and DJ KO: I gotcha backs yo! AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL...

A Table of Love

Written by:
Katie Farmer

When I was a little girl at the age of five years old. I went to a really big school with many different groups: Sports Fanatics, Preps, Nerds, Gothics, Kids with Special Needs, and outcasts to name a few of them. I thought that having cliques was really silly. I thought to myself why can't I start a Table of Love. What would happen is everyone from the different groups all banded together. Of course me being really vocal in sharing my ideas the students who heard my idea just laughed at me.

So I decided to begin my own table of love. I started each day in the school lunchroom to scan the room and the first person I saw how sat alone no matter what group, race, culture or background they came from I sat with them. I would start talking to them. In 8th grade I met a girl her name was Stephanie. I saw she was sitting by herself so my being the new kid to the school I walked on over to sit with her. She was quite surprised I would do it.

She shared with me that the reason she sat by herself is because she was 6 feet tall and many people were intimidated by her tallness. They would run away from her. She also said she was a special needs student and many people called her mean names. She was shy at first but then began to open up to me in a way that no one ever did before. AS I shared my own story she found that we could really relate to one another.

As some other friends watched me sit with her they began to follow suit right after me, my friend Nick Goldey was the first one to join us at the table of love. He was outcasted because of his weight he was also a really big guy as well, then came another friend Jamie who was also a really big guy as well. tthis at first was ' the 8th grade table". But soon some 9th graders saw what we were doing and a bunch of them joined us. people from all different groups, backgrounds etc coming together. I ended up moving away my 9th grade year when my dad passed away from cancer. sad to say I didn't get to do the table of love my remaning high school years. I was dealing with moving back to a town I hated, and my dad's death on top of other things.
But I will tell you this because of the table of love my friend Stephanie (I am going to try and find her on facebook) we kept in touch for a long time even in the midst of the moves from 8th grade all the way until we were 25 and 26 years old. My other friends Nicky and Jamie I also hope to find on facebook and the bunch of 9th graders who joined us. By a little girl at just the age of 5 years old and in Kindergarten started the table of love by herself. She believed in her dream so much that even though the other students laughed at me eventually some other students joined me and followed suit. we had a big group of friendship and love. the most meaningful conversations. It all started when I began to start my own Table of Love.

THE HEART(BREAK) OF A MUSE

Written By: Gail Chasin

So what makes one think that the person who inspires and drives you doesn’t have a deep connection with you? Do you think that in helping and giving of her experience, strength, hope and wisdom that true caring of the Muse isn’t equally experienced?

It happens rarely, for a Muse’s job is to detach with love and let the person move on to integrate all that’s been shared. What they do with it, is frankly, none of the Muse’s business. However, once in a great while, there is a true God/Love connection that develops and grows like a rose between the two. Velvety petals of rich color shine in the eyes yet just below, the thorns wait for you to accidentally prick yourself to get your attention. It’s not a bad thing - it’s just there to remind you that life’s events are not necessarily an easy or straight path.

However, once the line is crossed from Muse to Lover, the edges can become blurred and confusion and crossed boundaries remind her that love is a responsibility.

The Muse wonders if the original context of the relationship can be restored – and if it even should continue. She sometimes feel like the lighthouse in a raging sea…shining in the dark so that the seeker will not crash and burn, for the priority is to make sure to the best of her ability that the person leaves safely, with a better attitude, a new hope for their future and with a deeper sense of themselves. It is a selfless act. The Muse remembers that her job is to be a vessel of God and that some roads will continue to be an ongoing process while others move on. At the point of acceptance she knows that we are all ONE and she cannot help herself from continuing to give - all the while trying not to losing herself in the process.

This troubled world and the discord and chaos is felt by everyone on the planet, whether it’s consciously or unconsciously and human beings cannot help but be affected energetically on some level by other's pain. It is the Muse’s responsibility to leave her comfort zone and reach out, yet keeping a sense of her self at the same time, so as not to give biased, judgmental or opinionated information. Her focus, no matter how she personally feels, is always the higher path – not an easy thing to do sometimes.

Great songs, poetry and writings throughout history have been inspired and created from this very place, and sometimes the comfort zone becomes boring and non-challenging to her personal growth, so the Muse, who MUST continue to grow in order to be effective, goes through the pain of growth just as anyone would. There is no going backward and no regrets – there is just no getting away from it and willingness is the key to shifting and moving forward for her.

I am that Muse. I am human. I am vulnerable. But I am of God and I do not fear floundering or making mistakes because the alternative is stagnation. Jesus died for me so I am absolved.

How much of yourself can YOU give?

Are YOU someone’s Muse?

What will YOU do with your opportunities?

DYING WISH

Written By: Hector Rivera

Beep...beep whoosh. Beep...beep, whoosh. That sound has been my companion for these last two months. My last two months in a hospital room. My last two months in a hospital bed.
For most of my life I can't say I ever hated anything as much as words unsaid and this evil bed that I currently reside in. It's just not the kind of bed you want to die in. One would hope that death would come on billowy sheets made of clouds. One could even pray that termination could arrive with an enormous thread count of lush vivid dreams.
Beep...beep, whoosh. Beep...beep, whoosh.
Did Death have to come on a bed that leaves bruises? Did it have to come when I had so much left to say? My own father. A devout catholic, as strong as the brick and plaster of an ancient gothic cathedral. As pliant as one too. Don't get me wrong though. I love the man. He is and will always be my father. My father has taught me a great many things. Like the time he taught me that even on my own mother's death bed a man must never be who he is not.
"You know Pop, I've been thinking...I want to give the last rights to mom before she goes."
"Number one, your not a priest David. Number two it's not your place..."
"How dare you say that to me." I said it low and out of gas the way you say things after the longest day of your life.
"Mom never agreed with how you saw things."
"So typical...for some kid soaking wet behind his ears to judge. Do you know what I sacrificed to give you a life?! Do you know all the days I bled for you and for her?! Just to put food on the table?! Damn you! You have always resented me!!"
Beep...beep, whoosh.
I am so wealthy as I rot in my cot in this hospital. Nothing but all the things I said wrong to keep me company. All my acquaintances are now every one of my misunderstandings and rushes to judgment. My failures are my furniture.
I didn't make it easy for him though. I was as bullheaded as he was. A chip off the old super structure. He was a catholic and I read like a protestant. He liked the Yankees and I was a red sox fan. You catch my drift? I didn't make it easy on him and so we drifted apart like to sail boats in a calm blue sea. We drifted slowly away from each other.
It was Mom's cancer that made me show my face again. That woman put up with our bickering for years and like any good Christian woman , she suffered with all the stoic grace God could lend. My Mother, now resting in the arms of Jesus waiting for the day of judgment to live eternally in the new Jerusalem. My father , too concerned about finishing up the funeral arrangements he didn't have time enough to consider that I might want to give the last rights to a woman who helped me in leaps and bounds to my salvation.
There I go again. Wasting my time on anger. I can count the breaths I have left and I'm that foolish enough to waste it on bitterness.
Beep...beep, whoosh.
Long story short, here I am counting the days until my death. I sent my father a letter. I told him how long I had left. I wonder if this is how a man feels when he is on death row. They get one dying wish right? Or is it the last meal of their choosing? Hard to tell. The morphine doesn't help me focus. Well, anyhow I sent word to him of my dying wish. I don't have much time left and all I want near me is the warmth of love. I am too weak to hold my bible for myself. Reading the words of life always sent me back to the days of my mother still playing the peace maker between my father and me. Reading those words gave me hope and peace and love all in one. This damn cancer is eating me alive and I have lost all of my strength. I am a pitiful thing to behold.
Beep...beep, whoosh.
I pray my father will get my letter and he will come to me and read to me. My father wasn't always so gruff. Before I started to rebel we were best buddies. We had high adventures together. Before I questioned his authority I dreamed of the bed time stories he would read to me. My favorite stories were the ones he made up off the top of his head. I remember one in particular about a miner out west who armed with his trusty pick found the ancient city of Shangri-La. They called him black Bart on account of his black beard and bushy black eyebrows. My father told me though that when he came back from seeing all the wonders of the cave all his hair turned white. White as snow he said. He needed a new nickname and everything. What was that nickname my daddy gave him? he he. Snowflake I think it was. Yeah that was it...snowflake.
I woke up today with a lot of pain. They keep giving me morphine and something tells me that is not a good sign. I keep coughing and hacking. It's hard to breathe today. My vision is blurring in and out. I black out and hours have passed me that I never attempted to race. Everything has the tinge of a shadow behind it. I believe another day has passed or maybe it was ten years. My vision is worse today. My breathing is shallow. I'm lonely. I miss my mom. I hear a voice. It must be God...
"Hello Son. I got your letter. I love you. I can't say it enough. I love you my sweet, sweet boy. Forgive me David. You and your mother were right...about everything. I remember everyday. Every second with you. I'm so proud of you."
"I love you Daddy."
"I love you too son. I have your mother's bible with me. I was going to read to you if that's ok?" He said this like a little boy.
"Thank you Daddy."
"Your mother had this marked. Ye that love the lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.” (Psalm 97:10-12)

A Pizza So Close To Home

Written By:
Crispen Eschobar

Being a New Yorker, I don't think even pizza in Florida comes close to that Brooklyn Pizza taste. I never thought chillen in the country or in the south that I would or could ever find Pizza so close to home. I was going for a walk with friends in Fallsburg, OH when we stumbled upon a nice place called FALLSBURG PIZZA. I could smell such an alluring scent from outside of the place that I had to just go in. I met the owners Vaughan and Lina Richards which was a delight. I was served a personal pizza by Linda, prepared by Vaughan of onions and musrooms and loads of cheese. Man, that was just right up my alley. The cheese and the sauce complimented each other as if I was right in Brooklyn or even Hoboken, NJ where the pizza is also great. I said to myself, "I could eat ten of these," but I was satisfied and was happy that my friends and I stumbled across this wonderful place.

Vaughan and Linda told me how they came upon owning this nice pizza restaurant. Vaughn, originally from New Jersey, told me how in 1976 finding work was a peculiar task with so much politics going on, he just wanted a normal life where you could work for what you know and not who you know. Vaughan left Jersey and headed for Ohio where he worked as a manager of Ponderosa Steak House then later became a police officer in the town of Newark in Ohio. There in Newark in 1993 Vaughan met his sweetheart for life, Linda. Now Vaughan and Linda Richards own and run Fallsburg Pizza which I have to say including Lancaster, Newark and other cities in OH, Fallsburg Pizza is the best pizza in all of Ohio and none of the chain pizza places can hold a candle to Fallsburg Pizza. This is Crispen Eschobar signing off. "Enjoy your life and live it to the fullest and if you are ever in Fallsburg OH go to Fallsburg Pizza located on 11550 fallsburg rd. Beautiful scenery and beautiful tasting pizza.

Isms & The Existential

Written by DJ Escho

I truly believe isms to hold no water to the existential. Life is a manifestation gift of a being having the ability to speak life to exist, that which does not exist. Only one being can perform this action and it is not human, but has already become human. This is the infinite and humans now have the opportunity to become this perfection if they were to touch this way. Not a change for those out there who believe that but a release of dark residue that clouds are steps and yet leads us to muck where here on earth we are stuck left wondering how these things happen to us but if we pay attention to something the general public calls Karma, well basically every thought you allow in your mind is a track that you set your life upon and we if you don't bring your mind to this kind of intimacy. This being love, is how the cosmos and all that exists were created, and remains to exist at this moment but if you don't bring it their, your individual thought pattern, then the darkness shall over take your life on earth as it already is in the cosmos when you agree to dark thoughts.

The minute that a person is certain about something that does not attain ability to manifest life through words of love, then that person is in danger of following a lie. These kinds of people are in danger of facing extinction. Since the beginning of time we have had so many chances to make things right with mankind and the infinite but now there seems to have been a change in the cosmos. The universe seems to have taken action in regards to the earth and its negative push. This negative push has caused a compressing of space and time and is now causing the universe to crush itself. Just imagine, if these actions started with just lies, then I wonder what would be the worst possible outcome with all the corruption on earth. Destruction and all the natural disasters all coming together may be but one could not be sure, only follow along. Once the interaction of human and lie have become a conjunction then this gives existence chance for more fail and the need a sacrifice because humans cause a flow of this failure and can without intention lead a mass of people to this very same lie, until someone else is able to redirect that human and or all humans back to that which is truth. Only that someone could be a sacrifice so that people can touch a metonioatic anacroni. This then will a human be cleansed from the intimacy with dark energy and or dark matter.

If humans give existence a chance for fail and the growth of it , then existence is in danger of becoming extinct. This process is called the cosmological constant. Humans do have the ability to redirect other humans to truth only because of the fact that Love has manifested itself into a human at one point in time and has performed the greatest act of love which no human has ever had the power to do. The only being that can redirect humans from that which is a lie to that which is truth must be born first of a cosmological existence on earth. This First Born of the infinite is the existential, this is love. Humans cannot be born of the cosmological existence because they were born as human on earth. However, humans can have a rebirth of themselves from lie to truth. This rebirth then gives humans the ability to speak that which does not exist to exist and to cease all works of dark matter and dark energy assigned by the abyss where the energy which is called the prince of darkness, the son of the morning now abides until further action by the infinite. The only way to revers all of this is by unity. If we embrace an eschatological frame under the mind of the infinite and further build a colony of a people to be redirected from a lie to truth, then we can all live in unmerited favor. This is why there is only one first born and this first born remains to exist and is the ultimate super power of all that exists.

Fear in the essence does not exist in truth because it is the opposing factor of love and it gives birth to hate and hate gives birth to perversions and perversions gives birth to fornication and this is known as transgression which ignites the cosmological constant bringing curse to the terrestrial, adding spiritual death and bringing existence closer and closer to extinction. As something that is not able to live in the infinite is held up as a false truth by something or someone that exists, makes an ism. People who do not understand will follow this out of weakness and believe this ism to be true. This is the exacta to engaging in a process of extinction. The existence of something that remains in a lie eventually becomes inexistent as far as what happens after that well, that which exist continues without suffers greatly but those who follow a lie are going to suffer because right now as you read this, there are so many suffering either in a fire or freezing place made for the energies whom have rejected the first born and wanted the throne of the infinite.

How could something that is false even exist to those that exist unless they have given themselves as slaves to fear. Are those who follow Love, because Love is the truth, the exacta of perfection. This is for certain then that isms fail and why should we follow a failing thing. How do we know how to distinguish from ism and true existence but in love. There was a movement to attempt to empower the state of extreme logic and the state of the secularism all across the world. This movement was not a religion or a governing sect or any popular group but men of the highest wealth who knew something that has been hidden and continued to hide it for the growth of their wealth and control, power and freedom to uphold the practices of dark matter and dark energy. However, those in power at the time have set a precedence to the searching of the existential and locked away information that was able to free the minds of sickness and disease. These men have yielded to dark matter and dark energy have made it so that the normal every day people of the world would struggle and only exhaust themselves to the point of not being able to keep peace. Due to the confusion, so many people searched for truth from time passed over and over again and now it has developed in to sects and religions because it made so many people feel good, so they engaged in it and redirected to the seducing of people on earth to making this a G-d. People behaved seemingly at one point and were not out of control. The lie was that people were out of control so they needed a governing sect to lead them to civility. The number of people before the United States was created, who governed themselves were of a high calculation and did not need governing. Now there is so much separation and hate because of fear from failing and wanting to be against the infinite when finite formed and began to exist. This is called the beginning. Isms are an ugly canker worm eating existence. Religion is destruction and its cruel to give someone this type of option to fixing problems like poverty. When you can release yourself from these isms and grasp the existential then you and only you will be a true light to people because you will really understand and know what true love is and how it works. The existential is all we have and it will lead us together and may reverse the cosmological constant. Fortunately, for the people of earth, many years ago the planets aligned and the first born of the infinite came to be on earth. This first born is the only way to the infinite life and not infinite death but dark matter and dark energy entices and seduces and if you follow it and obey it then you will not only bring sickness and disease but death and then infinite death which is to become extinct. I warn you today! Walk away from dark matter and dark energy and come into the light which is love. Deny yourself and embrace the first born of the cosmos because it is our last hope for existence. This first born is the existential. Come into the light and you will get to the infinite. If you deny the first born of the infinite, then you are already becoming inexistent. Its the only way, this is love...

Washing Off The Fear

Written By: DJ Escho

I remember as a teenager I used to attempt to engage in coping mechanisms to fight depression. These mechanisms have been taught to me by doctors, therapists and just simplistic advice from older people who I might have had trust in. Today, I realize that the only real way to beat depression is to one: Accept that this feeling that you have believing to be overtaken by depression is a problem and two: You have to get to know what the problem really is and where it stems from.
I believe not all humans were created equal but all humans can do the one same thing and that is, after knowing what your problem is, accept that you have the power to change it. This power is inside of you and has always been since birth.
I remember when I was 21 and I was fit, happy and didn’t have a worry in the world. I was so loving towards every one from my family, friends and even strangers to the troubled and even criminals. I came to a stop sign in my life that took me for a peculiar ride. I didn’t know what to do or how to feel. I began to believe that people didn’t like me due to these obscure responses that I would get from people after talking to them. I would perhaps make a mistake in their mind when speaking or performing some kind of action that would cause them to immediately react negatively towards me. I couldn't understand why I felt as though all this black thinking from people made me fall so hard and then after all that negative acceptance, I began to look at my idiosyncrasies as a threat to my life. Whether they were quarks or just physical imperfections, this process of self destruction lead me to enter in a severe state of depression. I began to worry and either one year gain weight from escaping into over eating, become completely enveloped in drinking and drugs to losing weight from starving myself.
One day, I was walking from a friend's family gathering and as I walked past this window, I looked at my self and saw something not acceptable. I thought in my mind that this was the reason why I thought people had hated me. To be honest the only reason why I began to fall prey to all these lies in my head was because I had surrounded my self with people who didn’t believe or didn’t share the same vision as me. If some did, I wouldn't doubt that they probably felt as though this road to succession in their visions and ideals would be so far away and to walk that road would be a burden. Now, as they see me walking happily on this road that they reject, it is quite easy for them to attempt to stop my mission. So every time I would open my mouth, they would either mock me or just ignore me. This is what led me to think that they were the ones who had the right of way. I was so wrong. I fought and I failed and I came to so much loss because I never stopped to think that maybe, just maybe my happiness and my ideas and my heart was sufficient for people and life. I just had to find the right people and why? You see I believe I was made to help people and I was made to just live as an en-sample to men, women, children and elders.

Today I live happier and more sure about who I am and what my purpose is than I ever have. How did I get out of this funk that kept me mentally bound to the mindless chatter in the air? Well, I know that it wasn’t on my own strength and I know for certain that any one can do what I did and even better and faster. I can sit here and give you made up theoretics on "how to" but if you picture depression as a bully and you muster up the will and the courage to stand up to this ugly and unloving bully you will come to know for certain with out a shadow of a doubt in your mind, that depression is always brought on by fear. Fear is the only cause of depression. Fear is F.alse E.vidence A.ppearing R.eal and it is a real battle. Allow me to encourage you today to become intimate with this thought. A perfect Love casts out all fear. Love is perfect. Us humans, we mess up and boy sometimes I mess up real bad but one thing I am complete in my mind and in my heart about is that Love is perfect and it teaches us and watches us. Love is free and if we accept love for its perfecting existence, then we can let go of the fears which is the tie that binds us to depression. I know that music is a part of a tool that I use. I now listen to love songs mostly and there are so many musicians that write truths in there song lyrics. So I would say positive music that speaks truth is love and that love will motivate you to let go of the fear that lies to our minds and keeps us in bondage. Get up! Wash off the fear today my friends and accept love for being perfect and love everyone regardless of the race, color, creed, religion, or financial status. Love is for everyone and it can change your life. Real love wins, always…

A Look Back on DNA

The History Of Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid - DNA

Written By: Crispen Eschobar

Deoxyribonucleic Acid is a hereditary substance in the human body. The information in DNA is recorded in codes made up of four chemicals: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T). Human DNA consists of about 3 billion bases, and more than 99 percent of those bases are the same in everyone. The order for these bases is determined by the information available for building and maintaining an organism, similar to the way in which letters of the alphabet appear in a certain order to form words and sentences. This is DNA.

General History
This information was found by Prophase Genetics at:  http://www.prophase-genetics.com/history_dna_paternity.html
In 1865 Gregor Mendel created dna theories based on genetic profiles of pea plants. Because Gregor Mendel was a-head of his time, it took everybody in the scientific community over 3 decades to catch up. Experiments with Plant Hybrids , a paper written by Mendel where he describes how traits were inherited, has become one of the most influential publications in the history of science. In 1935
Andrei Nikolaevitch Belozersky isolated DNA in the pure state for the first time.
In 1958
Coenberg discovered and isolated DNA polymerase, which became the first enzyme used to make DNA in a test tube. In 1972 the first successful DNA cloning experiments were performed in California. In 1973 for the first time, scientists successfully transferred deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) from one life form into another. Stanley Cohen and Annie Chang of Stanford University and Herbert Boyer of UCSF "spliced" sections of viral DNA and bacterial DNA with the same restriction enzyme, creating a plasmid with dual antibiotic resistance. They then spliced this recombinant DNA molecule into the DNA of a bacteria, thereby producing the first recombinant DNA organism. In 1980 Kary Mullis and others at Cetus Corporation in Berkeley, California, invented a technique for multiplying DNA sequences in vitro by, the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). PCR has been called the most revolutionary new technique in molecular biology in the 1980s. Cetus patented the process, and in the summer of 1991 sold the patent to Hoffman-La Roche, Inc. for $300 million. In 1992 the U.S. Army begins collecting blood and tissue samples from all new recruits as part of a "genetic dog tag" program aimed at better identification of soldiers killed in combat. In 1995 Former football player O.J. Simpson is found not guilty in a high-profile double-murder trial in which PCR and DNA fingerprinting play prominent roles.

The investigation of DNA
This information was founded by Think Quest at:  http://library.thinkquest.org/20830/Textbook/HistoryofDNAResearch.htm
In 1953 there were these two scientists named James Watson and Francis Crick. Watson from the United States and Crick both worked together at the University of Cambridge in England on the discovery of the “double helix,” the first molecular-biological structure. On April 25th , 1953 Watson and Crick published a journal called Nature. Ten years later, this journal earned James Watson and Francis Crick the Nobel Prize for solving one of science most anticipated questions on the human body and advancing the studies of Molecular Biology.
After their discovery, Watson and Crick stayed in touch, but took different paths in science. Watson joined the faculty of Harvard University in 1955, focusing his research on the role of ribonucleic acid (RNA) in protein synthesis. In 1968, he became director of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on Long Island, New York. It conducts research on cancer, plant molecular biology, cell biochemistry, and neuroscience. In 1989, he was appointed director of the National Center for Human Genome Research at the National Institutes of Health and launched a worldwide effort to map and sequence the human genome. In 1994, he became president of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
Crick was made a Fellow of the Royal Society in England in 1959. Working with Sydney Brenner, he sought to "unravel the genetic code" by determining how the sequence of DNA bases would specify the amino acid sequence in proteins. By 1961, they had shown that this translation involves a three-nucleotide code, or codon, which opened the door to new biotechnology research ranging from genetic fingerprinting to screening for inherited diseases. In 1976, Crick joined the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego, California, where he became involved in studies of neurons and how the brain functions. He served the institute as both a distinguished research scientist and former president. Crick died on July 28, 2004, at the age of 88.

The First Discovery
This information was found by Micro Biology Guide at:
Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was first discovered in 1869 by the Swiss scientist Friedrich Miescher. He called the white, slightly acidic chemical that he found in cells "nuclein." By the late 1940s, scientists knew what DNA contained -- phosphate, sugar, and four nitrogen-containing chemical "bases": adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), and cytosine (C). But no one had figured out what the DNA molecule looked like. It was later rediscovered in 1919, by a scientist named Phoebus Levene, that this substance contained a base, sugar and phosphate unit make-up. It was also suggested by this same scientist, that the 'nuclein' substance maintained a 'string' of nucleotide units, linked together by phosphate connections. Furthermore, it was also thought that the 'chain' itself was short and that the bases repeated in short patterns.

A portion of the information on this paragraph was founded on this site:
If not for all the discoveries and finds of dna, there would not be so many advances in the science-studies of molecular biology and its attributes towards solving murder cases, lost parents and or lost children, or even the new world of regenerative medicine which started out as ideas in stem cell research and now has brought forth a the new scaffolding theory and practice in the restructuring of damaged tissue and tissue engineering. If it were not for the discoveries of DNA this world would be worse of then it already is. Thank goodness for the men and women who dedicated their lives to the research and studies of Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid – DNA.

DNA Molecular Bio Structure (Double Helix)
The DNA molecule resembles a spiral staircase or ladder. The sides of the ladder are made up of alternating molecules of phosphate and the sugar deoxyribose, while each rung is composed of a pair of nitrogen-containing chemical bases connected in the middle. DNA has four bases - Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine, and Guanine.

Is A Fetus A Person

Written By: DJ Escho

Judith Jarvis Thompson has concluded in a book titled “A Defense of Abortion” that abortion due to rape is not wrong because it was an incident that was not planned and the sense of a child growing in the womb due to rape was not invited so therefore the abortion would be permissible.  On several occasions Judith Jarvis Thompson’s position was that we could accede permission to person A, having right over person B’s body and life even though person B did not permit it. She implied that it would be a kind and good thing to do. Her stance allows that if we were to do so it would be permissible to perform abortions due to rape cases.   What Judith Jarvis Thompson has taken for granted here in the case of rape is that comparing scenarios such as acorns that soon are to become trees are not trees as oppose to a fetus not being a person until it is born and a society of music lovers kidnapping a person so that a violinist can live due to a blood transfusion from the kidnapped victim’s body even though the kidnapped victim didn’t permit it is incomparable because we are dealing with truth and fact, and not just emotion.   First, we must understand that Judith Jarvis Thompson is defending an idea that rape has taken place. In fact, there is no defense because her arguments stems from her contention with those who oppose abortion. This proposes that Judith would rather write a book to cause public dissension between secularists and existentialists than anything based on fact.   I know and understand that secularists opposing any topic against existentialists are not the matter here at hand. Fact remains that not once did Judith Jarvis Thompson defended any rape victims in the least bit or try to give an explanation as to why a rape victim would regret aborting a fetus in such a case, so why even state that abortion was permissible due to rape?  Second, in the cases of 1: The violinist needing to live on a blood transfusion whether it be an hour, nine months or nine years off of the kidnapped victim, 2: The case of Smith and Jones will freeze to death but there is only one coat to keep them from freezing, leaving a third party to choose who will live, 3: Henry Fonda traveling from the west coast to use his cool hand to touch the over heated brow of a factor or presumably Judith Jarvis Thompson needing Henry Fonda’s touch to survive, and 4: The one older boy and his younger brother having to share a box of chocolates given to the older brother has no baring on the simple fact that aborting a fetus who being a person will be born, is a life that was granted to that women.
. Judith Jarvis Thompson will apparently by no means even consider the thought that a fetus or baby being granted life first to a women would ever exist   This proves that her argument holds no water.  Judith Jarvis Thompson did state that her argument would not hold against those that oppose using the prior alleged cases but then why did she make mention of all of these cases in the first place?  It is almost as if she purposely led or even coached people into falling prey to her false belief by using these cases in her book.  This seems immature and unethical that a person writing a book to appease her interest would ever change the mind of a decent person. That even though rape has taken place, the women could see past the horror and give her baby a chance at life.
. Each case that Judith Jarvis Thompson went over had its points and clearly are justifiable from people needing to survive under obscure situations or needing the victim to further survive being permissible to end one’s life comparing to aborting under rape and yet does this at all compare to the knowledge of a women holding a baby in her arms ever giving thought to ending its progress of life growth with in her, give no excuse to end the life of a fetus.
Judith Jarvis Thompson has even stated using theses 4; made by Pope Pius XI, a Catholic, in which he said that abortion, would be excused if it meant that the mother would live. This holds no bearing as in studying church history; you learn that Rome created Catholicism for means of political and financial gain. This excludes the Popes statement in theses 4.   This is not to say that there are not cases where a woman wouldn’t have to have an abortion due to her life being at risk but then again this is not an abortion, it is called a scraping.   A scraping is not an abortion regardless of whether or not in today’s medical world there might exist some insurance companies allegedly playing a role in using the performance of scrapings to manipulate the doctors to mandating when it is not necessary.  This concludes putting an end to using theses 4.
Judith Jarvis Thompson then had the audacity to quote scripture from the book of Luke chapter 10 verses 30-35, being about the story of “The Good Samaritan.” Comparing this to a story about a woman named Kitty Genovese having been murdered in front of 38 people and not one of them doing anything about it nor trying to notify the proper authorities and using a statement that Samaritans are not merely decent or good at all also can in no fashion be related to the choice of aborting a fetus on the grounds of rape. She gave no description as to why the people didn’t help Kitty Genovese. We as the readers are unsure as to the circumstances, there could have been another incident proceeding, perhaps preventing the people from helping Kitty,   this also excludes Judith Jarvis Thompson from using Kitty Genovese’ murder case in comparison to any women who allowed the permissibility of aborting a fetus in the case of rape.   In the beginning of this story Judith Jarvis Thompson states and I quote “A newly fertilized ovum, a newly implanted clump of cells is no more a person than an acorn is an oak tree. But I shall not discuss any of this.”   Who is Judith Jarvis Thompson to pass judgment on what is a person?  Is this judgment made on the fact that one cannot see the life of an acorn or cell? Does it stand to reason that it cannot have a personality because it can’t communicate the way a human can or have visible attributes such as that of the human personality?   I certainly cannot look at a plant and say that it doesn’t have personality just because I don’t know how to distinguish its attributes of personality or have the right to say a non-human cannot be personable.  There are cases where human can and do detect the personality of a non human.  A fetus is human, is it not?
I don’t judge Judith Jarvis Thompson to be a bad person but I just don’t believe that any of her arguments seem to weigh justice on aborting a child just because the mother was raped.  I do understand that there are women who will abort due to mental struggles with knowing that if she gives the fetus a chance and her child is born that it may become an emotional burden to know that the child’s father is the man that did rape her yet none of us, any reader or person doing research on this topic could ever stand in that rape victim’s shoes.   It is up to the woman legally the right to choose to abort or not to abort her fetus as an unborn child but it would not be morally right if the abortion were to take place.   I know that if rape is the case then why is rape not addressed or any of rape victim cases shown as examples as to why it would be the right thing to do to abort the fetus and why is the thought of life in a person not seen in regards to a fetus to Judith Jarvis Thompson?
As I have read and understood Judith Jarvis Thompson’s argument about the permissibility of abortion due to rape, I find that Judith’s disposition towards abortion regardless of rape or not, tend to lean towards an indignant behavior for those that oppose this matter.  Her defense is not so much for proving that cells, the fetus or acorns have no right to live a life but that she has displayed an intolerable sense of being contemptuous towards people who are likely to state that abortion is wrong.   This cancels out her arguments.
Judith has used incomparable scenarios to attempt to sway the reader into seeing her viewpoint.  Her blatant remarks about there not being anyone who has a good reason for why abortion is wrong in the first place tells you that she may live as a secularist or one who excludes existentialism and does not give any possibility that spiritualism could be without needing proof that it exists.  Anyone who lives this way will automatically be one who will defend abortion and even go as far as making people believe that it is the right of a woman to abort a fetus in the case of rape.

Rebecca Does Hair

Written By: Crispen Eschobar

Rebecca Thompson, proprietor of The Master's Touch Hair Salon in Chattanooga TN, has been cutting hair for 18 years now. I had asked Rebecca what made her want to cut hair or how did she know she was going to do this kind of work. Well, Rebecca stated that when she was a teenager, a fellow classmate by the name of Clinton Schmidt handed her a pair of scissors and said, "Cut my hair." Rebecca told me that she looked at Clinton as if he was crazy but decided to just go with it. On Rebecca's first try she did a pretty good job and decided to pursue this skill even if it was just a side thing at first. After all, Rebecca was just in high school at the time and came to a conclusion that it would get even better if she stuck with it. Later, Rebecca enrolled in University of Beauty in Cleveland TN and transfered after six moths to Claremore OK where she graduated with a 97 percentile 1992. Rebecca's first paying job, cutting hair was at JC Penny Styling Salon in Claremore, OK. Rebecca learned and absorbed so much from 20 different stylists and was told by the JC Penny manager that she had a natural talent for cutting hair.

It was only five years ago when Rebecca had met her current business partner Cynthia McIvor in Ooltewah, TN where they were both employed by Great Clips. Rebecca and Cynthia hit it off and found themselves being cut out of the picture at Great Clips, so to speak and later was lead to open up their own shop together as business partners and named it The Master's Touch Hair Salon.

Rod Edmunson head of Shears Point Inc. has opened a door for Rebecca at the Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute where she cuts hair for the patients enrolled there in down-town Chattanooga. Rebecca has decided to take on this barber role while maintaining her clientele at her shop with Cynthia.  As head of Shears Point, Rod is taking his company to higher grounds. With Shear Point providing hair styling and cosmetology services to companies or facilities, Rod is bound to surpass the market in this trade. Rod is wanting to provide these services to prisons which will spread the name of Shears Point and gain more clientele to his business. It was only about a little more than a month that Mr Edmunson came to The Master's Touch Salon and asked Rebecca if she would like to cut hair at the Moccasin Bend Mental Health Facility. Rebecca gladly obliged and stepped up to the plate. Rebecca is glad to do this work helping the patients in more ways than one.

I was invited to visit for a day to see how a normal shift would go for Rebecca. I had a lot of fun interacting with the staff and the patients there at Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute. Everyone was really nice and welcoming towards me. I saw that the patients were happy to see Rebecca and every patient was pleased with their new hair do's. Both the staff and the patients like Rebecca and are very glad when she is working there said a member of the staff. There was this one patient, because of legalities I am not permitted to mention her name but this lady was so sweet and funny and was glad to have Rebecca cut her hair and style it because the former barbers had said that they didn't know how to help her. I noticed that Rebecca has a uniqueness about the way she interacts with her customers not only at her salon but with the patients there at Moccasin Bend as well. I was curious why the patients were so happy to just be around Rebecca. I observed each patient that got their hair cut even if it was just a male patient receiving a facial hair grooming or a simple shape up which didn't last long but the time that was spent was like watching a tv sit-com. Rebecca loves to make the patients laugh and sometimes she probably makes them think. Rebecca believes in G-d strongly and shares it without even actually saying a word about religion. Rebecca has been chosen by Pastor Desmond Taylor at Mercy & Truth Ministries to lead the youth group and teach. Rebecca's love and understanding for people and her way of redirecting a conversation is amazing and is shown by the way she carries herself professionally with her customers at her shop. The teenagers and adults in her church and the patients there at the mental health facility become happy at her presence because she knows how to talk to them and they love her for it. I believe that Ms. Rebecca Thompson is the right person for the Moccasin Bend Mental Health facility and I believe she will be there for many years to come. This is Crispen Eschobar signing off: "Life is beautiful so, smile and live it to the fullest. Be blessed...

A New World Of Regenerative Medicine

Written By: DJ Escho

There was a time where people were dying because of organ failure leading to death or permanent loss of a body member or members. The medicinal treatment that was used in treating diseases involved prosthetics at times failed and lead to death and or loss of organs and or body members. This is now a thing of the past. Now, there are even more people surviving because of a new and exponential success in tissue engineering. Regenerative Medicine is this new source. Future visions for regenerative medicine can reach as far as saving a soldier dying from combat injuries on the spot. This way of practicing medicine is a much wiser choice of direction in fighting disease, the development of it is therefore constantly being studied.

Cancer:
Chemotherapy is the gamble that a cancer patients take when fighting cancer. Stem cell directed therapy targets tumor-cells. Unfortunately, other normally functioning stem cells that are in that same direction, receives that same hit and this causes the normally functioning cell to become viral. The amount of normally functioning cells without the ability to fight, die and these cells reproducing in-turn makes it a too high of a factor contradicting the fight against cancer. Regenerative medicine works towards saving en masse the termination of cancer stem cells. This is a better way to fight cancer.

The Scaffolding Theory:
The process that regenerative medicine brings is the regrowth of insulin producing cells for diabetes patients as well as the storing and restructuring of stem cells for leukemia and other forms of cancer. This method now envelops a society of doctors who not only are drawn to this work but completely believe in its success. The idea that an internal organ can be measured for the outer structuring itself as a scaffold surrounding the damaged organs, engages a process of constant discoveries in the “in-vitro” mechanics for the purpose of not removing a deteriorating organ. Regenerative medicine makes organ transplant obsolete and is a safe and effective process. When the organ or member has reached a full healing state, whether the organ is in need of hydro-gel scaffold for softer and smaller tissue damage or synthetics such as ceramic for tougher tissue damage, the body itself once knowing for certain that the organ has reached its full healing growth or state, disposes naturally and its proficiency and purpose is come unto completion. This is a wonderful breakthrough in medicine today. Regenerative medicine is not going to reach a point or pinnacle soon because the doctors involved in this study are constantly learning and constantly coming to new understandings of more ways to work the restructuring of cells and tissue engineering.

This is a chart for the scaffold theory which turned to practice which was only an idea many years ago.

Regenerative Mechanics:
If you can imagine storing cells in such a way that cells are still are alive inside of a cut umbilical cord, it is quite interesting. In diseases such as leukemia or muscular dystrophy, and other forms of cancer, the manipulating of cells for the reproducing of missing substances is the prime factor for the cure. These missing substances are proteins which fill the missing parts of its molecular structure as it recreates from the normally functioning stem cells. Once that is completed, it multiplies until the disease is completely excavated. Even after one is cured and there are no chances for the disease to return, the patient’s health is treated. These studies are already being engaged and are constantly developing towards a successful end.
This is the results of Stem cell research and that deserves its place for the bettering of the practice of Medicine. Molecular Cell Biology proves just that. The treatment of regenerative medicine shows that it comes into play quite fittingly in the manipulating of cells towards reproduction, targeting disease and the destruction of a cancer cell without hurting or killing normal cells. The tumor-cell reproduces, posing as an imposter towards normal cells since the disease can not reproduce on its own and is in need of the host cell and cell membrane so that it can synthesize itself and create the growth of a virus which leads to death. These mechanics are proven to work faster, more efficiently and help to configure a solution for not only the practice of medicine and the economy but will change the world.
One major downfall of this country’s currently collapsing economy is the misdirected funds of US healthcare. At this time costs surpass $1.5 trillion or 13 percent of the GDP (gross domestic product).
The following is an example of some conditions and diseases that regenerative medicine has the potential to cure and what the current state of treatment looks like:
• Heart valves- 250,000 patients receive heart valves, at a cost of $27 billion annually.
• Heart disease and Stroke- 950,000 people die of heart disease or stroke, at a cost of $351 billion annually.
• Diabetes- 17 million patients have diabetes, at a cost of $132 billion annually.
Regenerative Medicine plans to change the economic strain that old medicinal treatments and approaches have caused: the inflation and down fall of finance in America. Our economy is gone and the old ways have only become blight to the ill in America and all over the world. We can all look towards a higher standard of living and expectancy in the success of regenerative medicine and the end of prosthetics and the high cost of it. Regenerative Medicine not only cures but the results of it are benefiting for any economic structure ran by any governing sect. The cost of old prosthesis with all its aspects will be decreasing day by day. This includes the work and people who practice it to change in this direction. I believe this approach has much greater results.

In The Works:
The Nervous System is in danger when it comes to the attacks of strokes or the failure of comatose. There has not been any cure for brain damage or bringing back that factor to its original state. Once a person’s brain is dead, there is no coming back. Regenerative medicine perseveres in the regenerating of dead cells.

The effects of a stroke like Bells palsy has a hire rate of patients not coming back from that. I have been witness to one individual coming out of Bells palsy but a majority of people are not so lucky. Regenerative medicine is working towards targeting brain damage and the effects of strokes, heart attacks or even people who were in accidents or just from diseases which cause nerve damage and at times the termination of a bodily function. The possibilities are not only endless but just imagine the class of people and the mind, heart and spirits involved would not only surpass all forms of medical treatments but may even put an end to the corruption we face in health care today. We can all rest assured that regenerative medicine will be a new way of life for this whole world.
